Old Kilcullen Picnic on the Green next Sunday

Taking advantage of the recent weather to have organising meeting outdoors.

The Old Kilcullen annual Picnic on the Green is scheduled for 3pm next Sunday 21 August, and everybody is welcome to join in. The event is organised by the Old Kilcullen Area Community Association.

A great day out with lots of fun for all ages will include music, food and light refreshments, face painting, adults and children's games, spot prizes and ice cream.

A presentation can be viewed on the archaeological survey which took place around the tower earlier this year, and a model made by Dr Michael O'Connell will be on display showing a representation of Old Kilcullen hundreds of years ago.

The OKACA committee acknowledges the support of Kildare Credit Union and Kildare County Council for their activities and the picnic.
