Street music date for Kilcullen

A Trad Street Jangle by Newbridge-based musician Martin Murphy will take place on Kilcullen's main street Saturday 3 September, writes Brian Byrne.

A bit of resonator guitar should sound very well over the two-hour session from 2.30pm, so keep an ear out if you're in town on the day.

Martin recently played in Woodbine Books as part of a short tour of free concerts in bookshops and cafes in Kildare, Dublin, Waterford, Kilkenny, Limerick and Cork. 

His work is all instrumental, lately including a lot of Brazil music. But the upcoming Kilcullen event will focus on Irish folk and trad.
