Pieta says thanks to 'the amazing people of Kilcullen'

The organisers of the 'Light up the Bridge' event for Pieta earlier this year have presented the charity with €6,800 raised by the initiative, writes Brian Byrne.

Pieta's Dee Hayden has written to Lorna Brophy and 'the amazing people of Kilcullen' expressing the organisation's thanks for the donation.

The charity provides one to one counselling for people who are suicidal, people engaging in self-harming behaviours and people who are bereaved by suicide. Their service is free, and in 2020 some 80pc of funding came through fundraising and donations. "Support from people like you is vital to us," Ms Hayden said.
