Our heron a sign of biodiversity

It was good to see our heron back on the Kilcullen Liffey yesterday, writes Brian Byrne. He's part of the biodiversity of life on the river here, which is what the nation is all about celebrating from Saturday next.

He took off before I could get close enough for a decent pic. It was a grab shot with a small camera from too far away, but his wing action below is nice to see (click the picture for a larger view).
