TONIGHT: Local election public meeting for Newbridge/Kilcullen LEA candidates
The event will be held in Newbridge Town Hall, beginning at 7pm. It will be chaired by Peter Hussey of Crooked House Theatre and will take the format of a managed 'Town Hall' meeting, open to the general public.
"This is the LEA in which Kilcullen people vote," says co-organiser Orla O'Neill of Kilcullen, who also doesn't intend to be behind the scenes at the event. "I will be asking about why Kilcullen is waiting for its link road for so long," she told the Diary.
In the current May Bridge magazine, Orla highlighted the danger of excessive speed and traffic on the Sunnyhill Road, which could be alleviated somewhat by the completion of the link between the Athy and Curragh roads.
