A blaze of wool colour on Tuesdays
As the summer of Kilcullen 700 gets closer, the ladies of the Suas Knitting Group are getting ever busier, and there's now a blaze of wooly colour on the tables in the Parish Centre on Tuesday mornings, writes Brian Byrne.
This is the stage they are at this morning, with all sorts of knitted contributions ranging from some wonderful creatures, toys and even a familiar Snoopy Dog.
Bunting is another big element, and some special fairy bunting has been put together for next Saturday's launching of the Fairy Trail in the Valley.
A brace of 30' Kilcullen 700 banners will also be produced, to hang on the railings on each side of the bridge from 'Yarn Bomb Weekend' scheduled for the June Bank Holiday.
There's plenty of space for more knitters and knitting contributions, and wool, for the Suas mornings.
