Race night gets good crowd
There was a good turnout for the Kilcullen AFC fundraising Race Night in The Spout on Saturday night.
Fergal Sloane did the MC honours, his main duty to encourage punters to place their bets on each race. And though Ray Kelly had to struggle a bit at the start to get the film threaded through the sprockets, it soon became a case of 'starter's orders' and then 'they're off!'.
At the time of writing, there's no result for the funds of the club. But it was surely like any race course, the bookie always wins.
And the bookie this time was, of course, the club.
