Ger and Lorraine's Nativities again on view
The Nativities collection gathered by Ger and Lorraine Hegarty Kelly is once again assembled in Kilcullen Parish Centre and can be viewed until lunchtime on Friday, writes Brian Byrne. More than 200 scenes are on display, collected and donated from different countries all over the world.
This year some new items include an ancient Irish style one produced by Kilcullen's Kieran Forde and an Inuit version from Canada.

There are also a number which Lorraine and Ger bought recently from Veritas as the long-established religious goods outlet went through its closing down process. Several precast plaster versions have been painted by local schoolchildren.

The exhibition is open until 8 o'clock this evening, from 10am until 5pm tomorrow (Thursday) and from 10am-1pm on Friday. It is then being dismantled and brought to Bray Parish for display through the weekend.
The display was first shown to the public in 2020, with around 100 scenes, while a virtual version was shown online in 2021 due to Covid restrictions.
The video below is from 2022, and gives a comprehensive idea of many of the exhibits which have returned this year.
