GAA Christmas Draw

The annual Kilcullen GAA Christmas Draw is in full swing, with the usual prime selling point outside Nolan's Butchers, writes Brian Byrne. Pictured are Jennifer Shortt and Jim Buckley on their rostered duty.

It's the 51st year of the Draw, and as usual the main prize is a big Christmas Hamper. Well, yes, a 'Monster' one ...

A trailer of firewood and a Nolan's Voucher are for second and third place winners, and the rest in the list include tickets to key football and racing events.

Like the Bridge magazine — the Christmas issue has just gone on sale — the ticket cost is still only €2, or €5 for three (the Draw, not the Bridge).

I was so busy taking the picture that I forgot to buy one for myself. Will rectify that next time I'm going downtown.
