The weather outside is frightful - so, Go Shopping!

The weather might not be great but all of those involved in Kilcullen's Christmas Shopping Day are all inside, so it makes for comfortable looking around.
In addition to all the full time local shops, each of which has something to offer to make things seasonal, there are popups in the Heritage Centre and in the former Headrush salon premises next door. Handmade arts, crochet crafts, jewellery, children's clothes, Christmas knickknacks and stocking fillers, and more.

Also today, there's a special Bailey's Chocolate sampling in Carry Out from 12 noon.
Drop in to Woodbine Books and check out Hazel Gaynor's latest book with her writer friend Heather Webb, Christmas with The Queen ... maybe you'll catch Hazel herself, she'll be signing copies from 4pm.
Berney Bros Open Day from 2pm-8pm with experts on hand to talk all things equine, and maybe a mooch around the clothing area for a bit of protection against the winter. There's also a chance to win a big hamper if you spend €50.
The Coffee Hatch at the Community Centre is giving 10pc off all hot beverages today.
And don't forget, all of Kilcullen's businesses have a special seasonal welcome for visitors today. Shop local and keep local in business.
