Seán stands up for comedy
Fans of stand-up comedy in Kilcullen should mark Saturday 21 September in their diaries for Seán Begley's Faux Pa show, being performed in the Town Hall Theatre, writes Brian Byrne.
The performance follows a sold out tour of his debut Tragic show, and this time Seán is reflecting on the many blunders and challenges he has experienced over the course of the past four decades.
"In general, life's interactions can often be awkward, divisive, and incredibly embarrassing, but each one can be a learning experience," he says. "Faux Pa is about embracing inadequacy, learning from one's errors and ultimately trying to be a better person."
Which all sounds quite serious, but is really, by many accounts, a night of 'big laughs' and an amazing evening of entertainment.
Seán was the winner of the Bray Comedy Festival Best New Act 2018. He was also shortlisted for Ireland's Funniest Joke 2018, participated in RTE Standup and Be Funny 2019, and is a Dublin Story Slam winner.
