The Pension Plan at Riverbank

The sellout comedy The Pension Plan will be performed at Riverbank Arts Centre on Thursday next, 20 June, writes Brian Byrne. The play by John McDwyer premiered last year and was a box office hit all over the country on its first national tour by the Beesneez Theatre Company.
The 2024 tour is another chance to see the story of two bachelor hill farmers and the neighbour who is constantly trying to marry either or both of them. The relatively contented life of the three is jolted by the visit from a stranger. The characters are played by Pat Feely, Gerry Farrell, Valerie Traynor and Barry Deignan.
The Pension Plan continues the successful career of John McDwyer, known also for Lovely Leitrim, Callaghan’s Place, Unforgiven, An Ordinary Man and Turning Mammy
Tickets are priced €20/€18 and can be booked through the Box Office, either in person or by telephone on 045 448327 Monday to Friday 9.30am-5pm (closed for lunch 2-2.30) and Saturday 10am-1pm. Tickets can also be booked 24/7 on www.riverbank.ie – Online tickets subject to €1 booking fee per ticket.
