Donations sought for KWWSPCA Bazaar
Local animal charity KWWSPCA are seeking donations of good quality items for their first Summer Bazaar which will be held on Sunday 16 June at their shelter near Athgarvan, writes Brian Byrne. The event will run from 12 noon to 3pm.
Clean and undamaged bric a brac, small household items, new pet products, books and plants, are among things sought, as well as bottles and jars (full!) for the Bottle Stall — spirits, wine, beer, soft drinks, jams, pickles, and beauty products all welcome.
Anyone who has stuff to give can bring them to the Shelter on Saturday 8 June between 10am-12 noon when the gates will be open and volunteers will be on duty to take in the donations. Anyone who can't come at that time can call or text 087 6803295 or 086 3413017 when other arrangements can be made.
Nearer to the date of the Bazaar, the charity will also be asking for donations of cakes and other home baking items for the cake stall.
Volunteer artist Lisa will be at the Bazaar, and if you would like her to do a pet portrait, bring a photo of your pet for her to copy.
This is an open air event, so if the weather is wet that day, the Bazaar will be postponed to the following Sunday, 23 June.
Please don't bring your dog with you, as it can upset the rescue dogs at the Shelter.
