Christmas Lights collection this weekend

With the witches on the bridge being replaced today by Christmas lights profiles, it's appropriate to remind people that the annual street collection for the lights is this coming weekend, writes Brian Byrne.

Kilcullen Community Action volunteers will be at the usual collection points outside Eurospar, Nolan's Butchers, and Centra at the other end of town.    

The times are Friday afternoon and Saturday morning through mid-afternoon.

All donations gratefully received for the lights, which create a very festive atmosphere in the town throughout the season.
