The passing of Thomas (Tom) Hickey

The Diary has learned of the death of Tom Hickey, Bullhill House, Calverstown, Kilcullen, on 22 June 2025, peacefully in the company of his family. 

Beloved husband of the late Eileen, much-loved father of Sandra, Ciaran, Majella, Michael, Alma and Tommy. Cherished brother of Micháel and Joe, the late Baby Michael, John, Rosarie and Pat. 

He will be sadly missed by his daughters-in-law Elaine and Kiera, sons-in-law Joe, Enda and Eóin. Adored grandfather of Padraic, Caoimhe, Cormac, Eoin, Zara, Colm, Aidan, Lia, Robin, Bobby and Finn, Tom will also be sadly missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Tom is reposing at his daughter Sandra’s residence in Ballybarney (R14ED79) on Tuesday the 24th of June from 3pm to 8pm with concluding prayers at 7.45pm. House strictly private outside of these times, please. 

Funeral arriving to The Church of SS Mary and Laurence, Crookstown (R14WD80) on Wednesday for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
