'Home Rescue' looking for homes to de-clutter
The popular RTE TV programme Home Rescue: The Big Fix is looking for new participants in the Kildare area, writes Brian Byrne. The programme helps people who are struggling in cluttered homes to find the space in which they can love again the house they live in.
"Let’s face it – as a nation we’re slow to let go," says Jane Wardrop of Coco Television, the independent production company that makes the show for RTE. "Old furniture and random knick-knacks, unused clothes and unfinished projects – all eating up space and burying precious memories under a blanket of clutter. One day, a Spring clean will come, but somehow, it never does ..."
Earlier this year, one of the programmes filmed for the recently completed series featured Kilcullen family Alan and Orla Condron.
