Have you entered the Treasure Town upcycling competition?

There's still time to send in an entry for the Upcycling Competition being run by the Kilcullen Community for Climate Action, writes Brian Byrne.

A fabulous prize from awards-winning local sustainable products website Faerly.ie is up for grabs for the best entry, which will be judged at the Treasure Town event this coming Sunday. 

The idea is to reuse old materials to create something new. All products created must have a 'continued life', such as art, or storage, or any other way that makes them useful in their new form. Entries can be dropped in to Kilcullen Community Library or brought on the day.

The Treasure Town event is free and will include children’s activities, plant swap, talks and a jumble market where the ‘price’ of each item is a climate pledge.
