Council still considering Kilcullen parking options

Kildare County Council is still considering options for providing a new car park in Kilcullen to replace the spaces lost whenever the Market Square redevelopment is implemented, writes Brian Byrne.

That was the response at the recent monthly meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District to Cllr Fiona McLoughlin-Healy, whop has sought an update on the actions taken to purchase lands for parking.

Officials said a number of options are being considered, including, but not restricted to, the lands at the rear of Fallons.

The report added that a full examination is also underway to identify possible funding sources for a resolution to the parking issues in Kilcullen, but this has not been finalised.
