Open Day for Dun Ailinne dig on Sunday

A reminder that an Open Day will be held on Dun Ailinne on Sunday 10 July for those interested in viewing the latest excavations, writes Brian Byrne.

The event will run from 1pm-4pm, and an admission charge of €5 per person will go to the Relay for Life Irish Cancer Society.

The Dun Ailinne site is on private farmland and no access is available to the public without prior permission.

The archaeological investigations are being carried out on Dn Ailinne by kind permission of the Thompson family.
