Lauren's hair cut is today, has already raised €1,400 for LauraLynn

A reminder that 11-year-old Lauren Boyle will be having her hair cut today in aid of the LauraLynn Children's Hospice charity, writes Brian Byrne.

The cut will take place in Ellen's Hair Salon on Main Street beginning at 12 noon, and afterwards her remaining hair will be dyed purple to further raise awareness for the charity.

The hair that's cut will be used to make wigs for little girls with serious illness.

Lauren, a pupil at Scoil Bhride, has already exceeded her target in funds raised by many times. Originally she sought donations up to €250 on her iDonate page, but already this has reached €1,400. 

The iDonate page will remain open until 1 July 2022. Meanwhile, anyone wanting to support her in person is invited to come along to Ellen's Hair Salon between noon and 2pm today.
