Apartments development application on Main Street

A planning application by James and Kate Nugent for Main Street, Kilcullen, proposes the construction of a two-storey side extension to the existing two-storey building to allow for five one-bedroom apartments.

The development requires the replacement of the rear roof element on the existing roof to allow for a third floor apartment, as well as an amendment of the front façade floor and window arrangement.

A change of use of the existing retail unit to residential use is being sought as part of the application, along with all associated site works. The relocation of the existing street art onto the southern façade of the development is also proposed.

Submissions to the application, file number 211572, can be made up to 8 December 2021.
