A busy year for Kilcullen Community Action
Despite it being the 'Year of Covid', a very wide breadth of activities were detailed at the AGM of Kilcullen Community Action last evening, writes Brian Byrne.
In her Chair's Report, Ann Cashman outlined as highlights progress on the Polytunnel Project, the Kilcullen Energy Project, the Biodiversity Action Plan, the Valley, Signage, Easter, and the Nicholastown and Newbridge roads work.
Within each of these there had been generally very good progress, and she expressed her thanks to the KCA membership, volunteers and CE workers. "Together we continue to make Kilcullen a beautiful town to live in, work and visit," she said during the meeting, which was held online.
Ann also acknowledged the 'tremendous' support from the local business people in Kilcullen and expressed the group's appreciation for their generosity.
"I would also like to acknowledge the fantastic support from our local councillors ... which varies from advice, to funding, to directing us towards projects and schemes that Kildare County Council are promoting. We look forward to working with all our councillors in the future."
Ann Cashman was re-elected Chair for another year.
