A 'faerly' new local business name
In case you missed it yesterday, the Kilcullen Market at Leinster Marts was the debut of a new enterprise by locals James Byrne and Eoin Houlihan, writes Brian Byrne.
Under the banner of faerly., they are selling a range of household items which are sustainable, eco-friendly, plastic-free and ethically produced. Sourced from a variety of carefully chosen makers, they include cleaning products, soaps, toothpaste and mouthwash tablets and other personal care products.
There's an emphasis also on non-disposable and biodegradable items, and among the brands are georganics, Tabitha Eve, Safix, soilse, Warrior, Stojo, Iron & Velvet, and Folk, which will be known to the eco-folk and perhaps a revelation to the rest of us. And if some of those sound Nordic, that's because James spent some time in that part of Europe.
The enterprise already has a Facebook page, and a website is in the making. Keep an eye.
