Eating for the rest of the week

Under the current circumstances, Kilcullen is lucky to still have one restaurant still managing to provide full meals, with Fallons Beer Garden offering food through the day, writes Brian Byrne.

The former smokers area has been extended tastefully, and provides for the limited number of outdoor spaces allowed under current restrictions. It is, of course, rather weather dependent, and booking is required.

Meanwhile, The River Cafe is also utilising the street outside for coffee and light brunch for its regulars, and for takeaways, helping to maintain a level of normal daily life in the town.

For the coming weekend, Kalbarri Outdoor Bakeshop on Saturday will be offering a family meal pack choice from Lasagne, Beef Stir-Fry, Chicken Curry and Chicken Prosecco, all with spicy potatoes — price €60. For afters pick up a Lemon Meringue Pie, or maybe an Apple Tart, Bakewell Tart, or new Kirsch Slices.
