Notice from Kilcullen Family Practice

We are very aware of the anxiety and concern in Kilcullen about Corona Virus infection. We are hoping to continue providing service to patients. We have had to alter some things to help keep our patients, especially our vulnerable patients, and ourselves safe.

For the moment we can continue to see many routine appointments, follow ups, and vaccinations and other problems.

We are asking all patients who are sick with runny nose, temperature, cough, headache or who have reason to believe they are at risk of Coronavirus infection to PHONE FIRST before attending for pre -booked appointments.

Please try to phone the surgery if possible, rather than calling in. You can also drop messages into our letter box.

When you phone for an appointment the secretaries will ask if the patient has any worrying symptoms or is at risk of having Corona virus infection. They will explain how the appointment is organised when you phone.

Repeat Prescriptions:
The local Pharmacies are working with us and have agreed that we can deliver scripts to them. If your pharmacy is Berneys or Burkes we will deliver the script to them. Please write this on your reorder sheet. Any fees payable to us for your order can be paid in advance/over the phone or added to your account.

The order will still take five working days to process and you will then need to phone the Pharmacy to have it prepared before going into the shop

We are very aware that our telephone system is often busy and is under greater pressure at present so please be patient and hold on or ring back later.

Take care of each other and remember those who are vulnerable and isolated and keep in touch with them.

Dr. Deirdre Collins, Dr. Susanna Francke, Dr. Paul Hickey, and the team in Kilcullen Family Practice.
