Parking? Please be more thoughtful
The Diary has had a polite request from residents of Millstream Court to highlight an issue in relation to motorists parking on their road, writes Brian Byrne.
It seems that there are people parking there in a way that blocks the residents from easily moving their own cars.
"It's a constant battle that people park and block up our small entrance when the church car park is full," one resident said. "One lady actually insisted that the estate is public property, which or course is not the case."
Indeed it is not public, and it would be nice if the new people to our town weren't discommoded in this way. Especially as they tell us they have quickly come to love Kilcullen.
Not for the first time, your editor feels a little despondent at the sheer thoughtlessness shown by some car owners ...
