The Great Big Book of Irish Wildlife is illustrated by Barry Reynolds, and is published by O’Brien Press.
A total of 76 children’s books published in the last two years were considered by the Book Award Jury for the competition. The Award is presented every two years.
LAI says the aim of the Award is to encourage the writing, publication and appreciation of children’s literature in Ireland, both works of fiction and non-fiction.
