Dylstock 2019 is upcoming
The next Dylstock music festival in Kilcullen will be held in O'Connell's Bar on Saturday 23 November, writes Brian Byrne.
The gig will feature Barley & The Grape Rag, Blackthorn, Edel and Lee, JJT, Acoustica, Lypton Village, and Elle.
Doors open at 7pm and music will be from 8pm till late. A donation of €3 is suggested.
The annual November gig was established ten years ago by Yvonne McSweeney and friends in memory of Yvonne's son Dylan, who passed away from leukaemia in November 2009, at the age of 18. The event has raised money for local charities, including Platinum Clubhouse, Barretstown, the Make a Wish Foundation, Shine Ireland and Cairde — Friends Matter.
Dylstock showcases local talent and upcoming local musicians. The organisers were given a Kilcullen Community Award earlier this week.
