Circle K Kilcullen Motorway Services opens quietly, fanfare tomorrow

Opened 'softly' over the past couple of days, the new Circle K Kilcullen Motorway Services has an official opening tomorrow, Friday, writes Brian Byrne.

The facility, planned for the last five years but held up by legal difficulties, has a McDonalds as the anchor restaurant tenant, as well as a deli counter, a Simply Great Coffee barista service, and general shop.

There are also toilets, a shower, tourist information, a playspace for children, and an ATM.

Tomorrow's opening will have a Halloween theme, with special offers and games and the staff dressed in seasonal costumes. The facility, with petrol and diesel pumps, and electric recharging points, also features a large parking area for HGVs.

Manager Elaine Brennan told the Diary that there are more than 35 people employed at the 24-hour service plaza. Since the facility opened earlier in the week it has already been very busy, exceeding initial expectations.
