Kilcullen gets Christmas lights funds
Funding from Kildare County Council towards Kilcullen’s Christmas lights has been secured, through the Naas Municipal District, writes Brian Byrne.
Cllr Tracey O’Dwyer received the news today and has thanked colleagues from the Naas MD for their support in the application, made by Kilcullen Community Action prior to the town’s move to Kildare-Newbridge MD in advance of the elections in May.
“Particular thanks to Evie Sammon and Fintan Brett for their assistance in approving the funding,” Cllr O’Dwyer says.
At the last meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge MD there was strong support from members for providing funds to KCA, but the matter was deferred pending clarification about whether money had already been approved by the Naas MD.
