Cybercrime workshop

The County Kildare Chamber is hosting a half-day training workshop on cybercrime awareness, on Wednesday 5 June, writes Brian Byrne.

The event will run 9:30 am-1pm and is being presented by Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet. It will take place at the Chamber HQ, Sallins Road, Naas.

The workshop will introduce the world of cybersecurity and help participants to understand what they need to know and do to keep themselves and their workplace safe and secure. It will provide an overview of malware, phishing and social engineering; best practices in password generation and usage; and protection while using the web and email.

The morning will also provide an overview of best practices for security at home and at work.
