Illustrator in Woodbine this afternoon

A reminder that illustrator David Butler will be at Woodbine Books today, Saturday, to talk about his working life, writes Brian Byrne.

The event, organised to mark World Book Day, will take place from 2pm- to 5pm, and he will will demonstrate steps used in Shackleton: Voyage of the James Caird — A Graphic Account published by Collins Press.

The artist will discuss his thought process and the steps of illustrating a children's book, but the event is for people of all ages, and especially fans of graphic novels and those interested in a career as an illustrator.
