Google Maps updates Kilcullen satellite imagery

The Google Maps imagery of Kilcullen has just been updated for 2025 and now shows a very clear shape of many most recent Kilcullen developments, writes Brian Byrne. Among them are the GAA Field of Dreams walkway and the latest builds at Riverside Manor.

The Diary from our own photo files can fine up the date of the satellite photos being taken to about the last week of November, as the work to complete the main car park at the GAA clubhouse appears to have just started. Previous imagery was several years old, with the Millstream Court development beside the church car park still a construction site.

Google Maps imagery is generally updated every 1-3 years for urban areas, sometimes longer for more remote places.
