Community Games Handwriting, Art prizes presented
The medal presentation for the community games art and handwriting competitions was held in Kilcullen Library last evening, writes Papillon Rabbitte. As always in these competitions, the standard was very high and a credit to all competitors.
We would like to extend our thanks to our judges, Noel Scullion who judged the art competition, and Síobhan Murphy from Scoil Bhríde who judged the Handwriting competition.
Many thanks also to Julie O'Donoghue who kindly allowed us the use of the library for the evening.
All the art winners now go on to the County Final which will be held this Sunday, 11 March in the Patrician Primary School at 9.30am.
The handwriting winners go through to the county final of this event in Athgarvan National School on 20 April 20.
Congratulations to Mae Cowper-Gray who is this year's recipient of the Brenda Scullion Memorial Trophy, which was presented to her by Noel Scullion.
