'Chicago' night rearranged as show builds energy
Next week's run of 'Chicago' by the Transition Year students of CPC has been slightly changed, as a knock-on effect of the snow disruption, writes Brian Byrne.
The opening night will now be Wednesday, and the Tuesday night performance will instead be on Friday. All those holding tickets for the Tuesday night are asked to come on the Friday.
"We did this because the students missed some rehearsal time when we were closed during the snow," says Transition Year Coordinator Glenda Groome. "We hope it doesn't cause too much inconvenience to ticket-holders."
Meanwhile the rehearsals were firing ahead today with the students building up a real buzz as showtime looms. It's looking like an extraordinarily energetic show, and the Diary understands that a few tickets may still be available.
Jodie Moran is directing, with Leah Moran in charge of choreography. Sue Fox is Musical Director.
