Many brave weather to remember Louise

In spite of very bad weather conditions, up to 70 friends and neighbours of the Brennan family gathered at the Brennan family grave in Old Kilcullen yesterday, to coincide with the funeral of Louise Brennan in Germany.

Prayers were said and flowers laid, and a number of balloons were released to mark the occasion.

Louise's uncle, Eugene, was there to represent the family, and he expressed his appreciation for all those who had come.

Louise was buried in Landau, Germany, where she and her partner Mark have lived for almost two decades. There will be a memorial mass in Kilcullen at a later date.
