Ladies buzzed up for big game
The Kilcullen Ladies AFC team is all buzzed up and ready for tomorrow's fray against Corrib Rangers from Galway, writes Brian Byrne.
"We've got a good squad, and though we don't know much about Corrib, they must be handy enough to have got this far," Linda Price told the Diary this evening. "But at least we have the advantage of playing on a local pitch."
The FAI Junior Challenge Cup Final game kicks off at 2pm at the Newbridge Town pitch, and it seems that 'all of Kilcullen is coming to support us', according to Linda.
And 'win, lose or draw', there's going to be an almighty session in Bardons afterwards. "Hopefully with the cup," Linda adds.
The Kilcullen Ladies beat Corduff of Blanchardstown, Donnycarney, then James's Gate in the quarter Final and a 'magnificent win' against Castlebar. "That was epic, winning on penalties."
