No1 Fitness celebration of a decade

It was all glam flappers and ‘thirties style last night in O’Connell’s Bar when members of No1 Fitness celebrated both Christmas and the club’s 10th anniversary, writes Brian Byrne. The men also dressed for the part, in sartorial variations on the flat cap and braces or bow tie and dinner jackets.
Founded by Beata Zielinska and Mariusz Olejniczak (below), the club now conducts more than 25 classes a week, offering personal training, nutrition guidance, and a triathlon academy in their high-performance facility at the Kilcullen Industrial Estate in the north end of town.
Mariusz has been a regular competitor in Ironman and similar events around the world, and, with Beata, shares a passion for fitness at all levels. It has been a phenomenally successful enterprise. At any given time, over 100 members are taking advantage of the gym's facilities and the owners' expertise to elevate their fitness levels, whether through functional training, Tabata, turbo cycling, strength and conditioning sessions, or yin yoga. The members' ages range from 16 to 84.
The distinctive No1 Fitness logo has become a familiar fixture in road and track competition across the country and beyond. In addition, club members have raised funds for many charities and deserving causes over the decade of No1 Fitness's existence.
Whatever they get involved in, they do it to 110 per cent. Last night, in the style stakes, it was no different.
Congratulations to all.
