Kilcullen Cycling Club's U16 MTB XC national champion

Kilcullen Cycling Club's Connor Regan is the new U16 MTB Cross Country National Champion, writes Brian Byrne. He took top podium place at the event held over the weekend at Tubrid in County Cork.

At the event, hosted by Mountain Bike Club of Cork (MBCC) at their usual Tracton Woods location, he beat Fionn Crinion of IMBRC in Tallaght and Darragh O'Keefe from Dublin-based Epic MTB, leading on both laps to an eventual finish time of 42.03, almost 4.5 minutes ahead of Crinion.

Cycling Ireland congratulated all who took part in a very tough event, with 11 categories  ranging from U14 Girls to Senior Open.
