Snow forecast through afternoon

So we've had a dusting of snow overnight in Kilcullen, writes Brian Byrne. There's light rain at the moment, but some heavy further falls of snow are forecast for this afternoon by Met Eireann in temperatures expected to be at zero and feeling like -6deg. 

A clear overnight with sub-zero temperatures will make road and footpath conditions more hazardous, so please be very careful. 

The country is under a Status Yellow Low Temperature and Ice warning until midday tomorrow.
