Berney Bros to feature on KFM on Monday
The horse in Berney Bros window has been an icon for the business since 1914. |
A feature on the history of Berney Bros Saddlery will be broadcast on KFM Radio on Monday morning, writes Brian Byrne. The piece will be on the Kildare Today programme transmitting between 9am-11am, hosted by Eoin Beatty.
Thomas Berney will be interviewed on how the famous Kilcullen business has been passed down through five generations since its foundation in 1880.
With a base of discerning customers from all over Ireland and many other countries buying the more than 25 styles of horse saddles they are renowned for, Berney Bros have many times been profiled on a variety of media, famously in the 1981 television series 'Hands' by David Shaw-Smith. A remake of that programme was produced in 2013 for the 'In Good Hands' series.
