Walkway marks another milestone in Field of Dreams

With the completion of the tarmacadam surfacing on the walkways around the new pitches area and the lining of the new car park under way today (below), another milestone in the Kilcullen GAA Field of Dreams project has been passed, writes Brian Byrne. The 1.2km walkway provides another safe walking area for the community and makes shorter the access to the grounds from the Avondale and Nicholastown parts of town.

Meantime, the relatively balmy weather of recent weeks has seen a spurt in growth of the grass on the new pitches, boding well for them to be usable during 2025.

For those who want to support the recently launched 'Solothon' initiative, to raise funds for resurfacing the old car park at the clubhouse, sponsorship of the various teams, groups and individuals involved can be made here.
