Power outages and wind damage

A number of power outages have happened in the Kilcullen area today, writes Brian Byrne. They were in Sunnyhill and Grangemore. All have now been restored (updated). There were also outages reported in Narraghmore and Crookstown.

The wind also caused damage to trees and at least one vehicle. Trees were reported down on the Narraghmore-Crookstown Road and on the Ballysax to Kilcullen road.

Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer has warned people to be careful about travelling during the windy conditions, after her car's windscreen was damaged by a falling bough. The status Yellow wind alert is valid through to 3am Monday morning.
