The Routes to Kilcullen's Past for Heritage Week

Talks on the history of Castlemartin and New Abbbey will feature as part of a display in Kilcullen Heritage Centre for National Heritage Week 2024, writes Brian Byrne.

Titled The Routes to Kilcullen's Past, the displays will include 3D model reconstructions of Castlemartin, New Abbey, Harristown, Old Kilcullen, Ballyshannon and Jigginstown in Naas.

The displays have been prepared by Dr Michael O'Connell, and the Heritage Centre will be open from 2pm-4pm on 20, 21 and 23 August. 

Michael will give talks from 8pm-9.30pm on Monday 19 August Castlemartin Revisited, and Thursday 22 August New Abbey, New Thoughts.
