Looking Back: Foroige calendar 1987

Today we're going back 37 years to the Kilcullen Foroige Club that produced a calendar, Images of Kilcullen 1987. Courtesy of the PJ Lydon collection of local memorabilia, the scan above is from the December page, complete with a typo or two in the caption, showing the club members.

The cover picture detail is unclear, but it must have been a sunny summer day event in 1986 because there are lots of young people in the water above the bridge, and spectators on both banks. If anyone remembers what it was, let us know.

Mac's Nite Club, Saunaland, JM McDonnell & Sons, and TJ Kelly Electrical were among the many local businesses who supported the calendar's production.
