Congo campaign memories

Above is a photo of Company Sergeant (retired) Joe Mallon being presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Brigadier General Brendan McGuinness, GOC, DFTC Curragh, at a ceremony in St Brigid's Church, Curragh on Saturday 8th June, 2024 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Congo campaign. 

It was a great honour for Joe to receive the presentation from  Brig Gen McGuinness, as the last time they met was in 1982 when Joe was the C/S in charge and the Brigadier General was then a cadet in the 59th Cadet Class.
