Conroy Park and Brigid's Avenue footpaths for repair

Footpaths at Conroy Park and St Brigid's Avenue are to be upgraded later this year, according to Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer, writes Brian Byrne. In a post last evening on her Facebook page, Cllr O'Dwyer says this was agreed after a walk around and discussion this morning with Council officials.
She says the project will now go out to tender and a contractor will be appointed, with the timeline expecting the work to commence in early Autumn.
"Residents have been asking for these works for a long time and I’m delighted now to be able to confirm that finally the paths are going to be done," she said. "Thank you to Kildare County Council for supporting me in this project and to the residents in both Conroy Park and St Brigid's Avenue for their patience with me, I know it has taken a while."
ED NOTE: Conroy Park will be celebrating 50 years in September.
