A true Night of Joy
Those who were fortunate to attend the Night Of Joy concert in the Curragh Church on Friday last were treated to a very special night, writes Frances Clare. Kilcullen Gospel choir and Newbridge Gospel Choir delighted the audience of almost 400 people at the fundraising concert in aid of St Joseph's Halverstown and St Brigid's Ballysax Primary Schools.
But the standing ovation on the night was for the children from both schools who joined together to give a memorable performance of Wild Youth's Eurovision entry We are One.
The organisers are grateful to everyone who supported the event. Special thanks also to Lisa Nagle (Kilcullen and Newbridge Gospel Choir Director), Orla Gargan from Dublin Gospel Choir who acted as MC on the night, musician Bud Barrett, Fr Sommers of the Curragh Church and Mary, the sacristan.
