Hall of Fame for Kilcullen Community Centre

Work on a Hall of Fame in Kilcullen Community Centre is now under way, which will pay tribute to people who have represented Ireland at international level, writes Brian Byrne.

The recent AGM of the Centre committee heard that the initiative will involve having framed relevant jerseys, with action photographs of the people and a summary of their achievements.

Centre manager Enda O'Neill said the first two are being prepared by Niamh O'Connor, and getting the project going fulfils a long-held dream.

"The idea is that having these achievements on the walls of the Centre will inspire the youngsters who come in to want to emulate them," he said.
