'Bring St Brigid Home' procession invite
A relic of St Brigid will be brought to Kildare town on Sunday 28 January and an open invitation has been issued to every community organisation in the county to send a representative, writes Brian Byrne.
The relic will initially be at Solas Bhride from 10.15am on the day, and will then be brought in procession to the town's Parish Church to form part of the Sunday Mass. It will be received at the church by Bishop Denis McNulty.
The invitation to take part in the procession is for one named representative, and details should be sent to kildarelib@kildarecoco.ie by 19 January.
